Frequently asked

The questions we are asked most, answered plainly.

Designing

Do I need an account to design something?

No. The Fitting Room is open to everyone and nothing is saved to an account until you order. You only need an account if you want to see your order history later.

What size photograph do I need?

The studio tells you. As you resize your image it shows the true print resolution and warns you before the photo is too small for the size it is printing at. A photo straight from a modern phone is comfortably enough for most products.

Can I use a photo with people in it?

Yes. Please make sure you have the right to use the image — we print what you upload and cannot check permissions for you.

Will the printed piece look exactly like the preview?

Very close. Screens are backlit and paper and fabric are not, so deep blacks and bright whites shift slightly. Anything inside the dashed safe margin will print.

Ordering and delivery

How long will my order take?

Two to four working days to make, then the delivery time for your region. The shipping page has the full table.

Can I change my design after ordering?

Sometimes. Contact us immediately — if production has not started we can usually swap the artwork or cancel.

Why did my order arrive in separate parcels?

Different products are made by different makers. You are only charged once for delivery.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes — the EU and the US have their own makers, and the rest of the world is quoted at checkout.

Products

Why is the leather case sold with the MagSafe wallet?

They are cut and finished as a pair. Selling them apart would leave you with two pieces that do not match, so the page sells one object at one price.

Can I personalise every month of the desk calendar?

Yes, and you should. The studio gives you twelve separate print areas and marks off the months you have designed.

Is the notebook the same everywhere?

No. It is an A5 hardback in the UK and the EU, lined or blank; in the US it is a slightly smaller blank book. The page shows whichever applies to you.
